Terms of Service
Terms of Service for FlowClip
Last Updated: August 22, 2026 ·
Developer: Melibyte Apps ·
Package: com.melibyte.flowclip
1. Overview
FlowClip ("the app", "we", "us") is a video editing application developed by Melibyte Apps (sole developer), with a community workshop where users can create, share, and download GLSL shader effects, and optional Pro subscription features. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the FlowClip Community Workshop, Pro subscription, cloud sync, and all related features. This document, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the use of the app.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirement
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction, e.g. 16 in the EU under GDPR) to use the Community Workshop or any UGC features.
- If you are under the required age, you may not publish, download, like, or report community content.
- By accepting these terms, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement.
- The video editing features of FlowClip may be used without age restriction; only community/UGC features require age eligibility.
3. Account & Authentication
- You must sign in with a Google account to publish content, like shaders, or interact with the community.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
- Anonymous users may browse and download community content but cannot publish, like, report, or otherwise interact with UGC.
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, manipulate metrics, or evade these terms.
4. Pro Subscription & Paid Features
Subscription Tiers
- FlowClip is free to download and use for core video editing features.
- A Pro subscription unlocks additional features: 120 FPS export, cloud sync (25 GB storage), increased shader publish limits, and any other features designated as Pro in the app.
- Pro does not remove existing free features — all free functionality remains available without a subscription.
Billing & Auto-Renewal
- On Android, Pro subscription payments are processed exclusively through Google Play Store. Melibyte Apps never receives or stores your payment card details.
- On Windows, Pro subscription payments are processed through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all Windows purchases.
- Melibyte Apps never receives or stores your payment card details in either case.
- Subscriptions are auto-renewing unless cancelled before the next billing date, subject to the applicable Google Play or Paddle rules. Cancelling normally stops future renewals; access continues through the already-paid period unless a refund, chargeback, or provider revocation ends it earlier.
- Android: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play > Subscriptions on your device.
- Windows: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time via Paddle's customer portal (using the "Manage Subscription" button in the app).
Pricing Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If a price change affects your existing subscription, we will notify you and obtain your consent before the new price takes effect.
Refunds
Android: All billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Google Play Store in accordance with their policies.
Windows: All billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Paddle (merchant of record) in accordance with Paddle's refund policies. Melibyte Apps cannot issue refunds directly.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for eligible Pro purchases made on Windows, as described in our Refund Policy.
Free Trial & Promotions
- If a free trial is offered, you will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it expires.
- Promotional pricing, where offered, applies only to new subscribers unless stated otherwise.
Cloud Sync (Pro Feature)
- Pro subscribers receive 25 GB of encrypted cloud storage for project files.
- Cloud Sync has a per-project upload size limit (currently 2 GiB). Projects larger than this limit cannot be uploaded to cloud storage. Large projects are transferred in resumable multipart segments so an interrupted transfer can retry individual segments. We reserve the right to adjust this limit at any time.
- Projects are encrypted on your device before upload. You may optionally set an encryption PIN for additional protection. With a PIN: your projects receive extra privacy protection, but forgetting the PIN may prevent recovery. Without a PIN: account recovery remains possible if you get locked out.
- If your Pro subscription expires, your cloud-stored projects remain on our servers for 30 days before being eligible for deletion. You may download them during this grace period.
- We reserve the right to modify storage quotas with reasonable notice.
5. Community Workshop
What You Can Do
- Create and publish custom shader effects
- Browse, download, and use shaders created by others
- Like shaders you enjoy
- Update or delete your own published shaders at any time
- Report shaders or users that violate these terms
- Block users to control what appears in your Workshop views
What You Cannot Do
- Use offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate names or descriptions for your shaders
- Publish shaders with malicious intent (e.g., designed to crash devices, exploit users, or consume excessive resources)
- Spam the community with duplicate or low-effort content
- Impersonate other users or claim ownership of others' work
- Attempt to manipulate likes, download counts, or other community metrics
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the community
- Harass, bully, threaten, or single out other users for abuse or ridicule
- Publish content targeting or harmful to minors
- Circumvent moderation actions (e.g., creating new accounts after a ban)
6. Content Retention, Deletion & Archiving
- Hosting While Published: Shaders published to the Community Workshop remain publicly available while they are published, unless we remove them under these terms or for operational reasons. There are no automated monthly resets.
- Your Right to Delete: You can edit or request deletion of your own published shaders from your in-app profile tab. Deleting a shader removes its public catalog entry and hosted effect files where technically available.
- Moderation and Security Records: We may retain limited submission, report, billing, and security records when reasonably necessary for moderation, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, or enforcement. This does not mean that a deleted shader must remain publicly available.
- Local Downloads Remain: Any user who downloaded your shader before you deleted it retains the local copy and may continue using it within their projects. FlowClip cannot remove files already stored on another user's device.
- Enforcement & Removal: Melibyte Apps reserves the right to remove any shader from the public workshop at any time, without prior notice, if it is found to violate these terms or Google Play developer policies.
7. Prohibited Content & Behaviors
The following content and behaviors are strictly prohibited in the FlowClip Workshop. This list complies with Google Play Developer Program Policies:
Prohibited Content
- Sexually explicit or suggestive content
- Content that sexualizes or endangers minors in any way
- Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates violence, self-harm, or illegal activities
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents)
- Personally identifiable information of others without their consent
- Malware, spyware, or code designed to exploit device vulnerabilities
- Content promoting gambling, illegal drugs, or regulated substances
- Threats, bullying, or content intended to intimidate or silence others
- Misleading or deceptive content (e.g., fake functionality claims)
Prohibited Behaviors
- Harassing, bullying, or threatening other users
- Posting content primarily intended to single out another person for abuse, malicious attack, or ridicule
- Using community features to distribute spam, phishing, or scams
- Exploiting monetization features to encourage objectionable user behavior
- Repeatedly violating these terms after warnings or temporary restrictions
8. Content Ownership & License
- Your Ownership: You retain ownership of the shader code you create and publish. Melibyte Apps does not claim ownership over your intellectual property.
- License to Users: By publishing to the FlowClip Workshop, you grant all FlowClip users a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to download and use your shader for personal, non-commercial purposes within the FlowClip app. This license persists for users who downloaded the shader before deletion.
- Not Open Source: Publishing a shader to the FlowClip Workshop does not make it open source or freely licensed. The source code you view or download remains the author's protected work, and you may use it only as described in "License to Users" above — i.e., for personal, non-commercial use within the FlowClip app.
- Use Outside FlowClip: Any use of a community shader outside the FlowClip app — including copying, redistributing, embedding in other software, incorporating into commercial products, or publishing elsewhere — requires the author's separate permission, even if you could view or download the source code through the app. Where "Protect Source Code" is enabled, you may not attempt to extract, deobfuscate, or reverse-engineer the code to circumvent this restriction.
- License to Melibyte Apps: By publishing, you additionally grant Melibyte Apps a royalty-free, sublicensable, and worldwide license to host, transmit, display, distribute, modify, run, and create derivative works of your shader code as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, maintain, improve, and promote the FlowClip Workshop. This license does not require us to keep a public copy after you delete the shader, but it may continue for copies, records, or materials that must be retained for safety, legal, dispute, or operational reasons.
- Maintenance & Improvement: To keep the Community Workshop fast, stable, and safe for everyone, you authorize Melibyte Apps to review, maintain, optimize, and improve shaders you publish — for example, correcting errors, improving performance or compatibility, or updating effects to work with new app versions or devices. Where we make such changes, you remain credited as the original creator of the effect, and we will not alter your attribution. You retain ownership of your original code as described above. These maintenance activities are carried out for the benefit of the community and may occur without prior notice.
- If you enable "Protect Source Code," your shader code is obfuscated before being stored locally or published to the community. This prevents casual copying by other users. However, the obfuscation is reversible and should not be considered a replacement for legal protection or strong encryption.
- You represent and warrant that you have the right to publish any content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property or other rights.
9. Reporting & Moderation
Reporting & Blocking
- You can report or block users and content directly in the app. Reporting is available on every shader detail page and user profile; blocking is available on user profiles.
- You can also report unexpected, inappropriate, or incorrect output from FlowClip's local AI speech and caption features using the report action shown beside the result. The report is submitted through FlowClip's authenticated in-app reporting system.
- Blocking a user filters their published Workshop content from your Workshop views and hides their content when you view the blocked profile. Blocking requires a Google sign-in — anonymous users cannot block others. Blocking does not delete content you previously downloaded to your device.
- Reports are submitted to FlowClip's moderation system and may include the reporting account, the reported user, effect, or AI feature, the selected reason, optional details, and the submission time.
- Reports are reviewed and we take action as necessary, including:
- Removing offensive or policy-violating shaders
- Issuing warnings to users
- Temporarily restricting or permanently banning users who violate these terms
- Abuse of the reporting system (e.g., submitting false or frivolous reports) may result in action against your account.
Moderation Commitment
- We conduct ongoing moderation of community content, consistent with the type and volume of UGC hosted by the app.
- We review reported content promptly and take appropriate action.
- We reserve the right to use automated tools to assist with content moderation.
- We do not actively promote or recommend objectionable content.
10. Termination & Account Deletion
We reserve the right to:
- Remove any content at our sole discretion, with or without reason and without prior notice (including but not limited to content that violates these terms, is low quality, or is otherwise deemed unsuitable for the community)
- Issue warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans to users who violate these terms
- Restrict or terminate access to community features for users who violate these terms
- Modify or discontinue the community workshop at any time
Upon termination of your account or access, or upon your voluntary request for account deletion:
- Your active published shaders may be removed from your public user profile.
- Users who previously downloaded your shaders retain the right to use them locally.
- Anonymization: In accordance with applicable privacy regulations, if you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize personal profile information where required. Public shaders and their hosted files may be removed, while limited moderation, security, billing, or legal records may be retained when necessary. Users who previously downloaded shaders may retain their local copies.
- You may not create a new account to circumvent a termination.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer (Melibyte Apps) from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Content you publish to the FlowClip Workshop
- Your violation of these terms
- Your infringement of any third party's intellectual property or other rights
12. Limitation of Liability
- FlowClip and the Community Workshop are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not responsible for user-generated content published in the community workshop.
- We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, safety, or quality of community-published shaders.
- Use community shaders at your own risk.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the app or community features.
- We do not guarantee that backend services (including Cloud Sync, Community Workshop, authentication, and AI model delivery) will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure from unauthorized access. You acknowledge that no online service is 100% secure, and we are not liable for any unauthorized access to, disclosure of, or loss of your data stored on our servers or third-party infrastructure, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- FlowClip is provided as a free application with optional paid features. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €10 if you have not paid any fees.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of FlowClip shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Any legal proceedings shall be brought before the competent courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
- Notwithstanding the above, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence, and nothing in this section limits your ability to bring complaints to applicable regulatory authorities.
14. Copyright Infringement & Takedown Requests
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content published in the FlowClip Community Workshop infringes your copyright, please notify us with the following information:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- The URL or location of the infringing material in the app
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Send notices to: melibyteapps@outlook.com
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it. Repeat infringers may have their account terminated.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent to the greatest extent possible.
16. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms where such failure or delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party service provider outages (including Cloudflare, Google, and other providers we rely on), and other events that are not reasonably foreseeable or preventable.
17. No Waiver
Our failure or delay in enforcing any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of that term or any other term. To be effective, any waiver must be in writing and signed by us.
18. Privacy
Your use of FlowClip is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the app, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document when changes are made. For material changes (including subscription price changes), we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., via in-app notice).

Summary
FlowClip is free to use. Pro is a paid, auto-renewing subscription — managed by Google Play on Android and Paddle on Windows. Cloud Sync is encrypted on your device before upload. An optional encryption PIN adds extra privacy, while leaving it unset keeps account recovery possible. Publish shaders freely, but keep them clean and respectful. We may remove content that breaks these rules. Your shaders stay yours, and you grant FlowClip the rights reasonably needed to operate and improve the Workshop. Community shaders are not open source: using them outside the app requires the author's permission.
